• some lines that hold the ball do not last the entire length so the ball does not have anything to rely on
• you have to control a side of the ball’s current movement so not to lose it.

You have to deal with all these at the same time to make the ball jump high to its completion. A player has to be aware that the progress isn’t saved and even if he or she loses at 99% of completion, (s)he’ll have to start over.
